(Times for pre-Book 1 are relative to beginning of Book 1)
Origin: Two universes--one of humans and one of Bionicles--fused together to create the Bioni-Lords Universe. Time re-started on the reformatted world, but the Lost Continent (Europe/Asia) passed through unaffected.
Early History: Humans fought among themselves and continued to grow, eventually discovering that defeating a Bioni-Spirit would turn it into an Orb and allow them to fuse with it. This era is noted as B.B.L., or "Before Bioni-Lords".
Middle Ages: This was the beginning of the era labelled as A.B.L., or "Age of Bioni-Lords". In the Middle Ages in the Bioni-Lords universe, they had the same concepts and such, but fought with Bioni-Spirits. Knights often fought with Toa Nuva, and mostly used close-range, sword or physical attacks. "Wizards" first introduced the ability to use multiple Spirits in one battle: By conjuring up the essence of an Element, the gained the ability to switch orbs in battle. This is also the first time period to have any record of the Rahaga element, though there is nothing of how it came into being.
There is also evidence that the Ikhav family served as knights under the rule of King Syrag, the most well-respected king of these ages.
Revolution: When people first began to colonize the islands surrounding the Mainland, they were under a harsh rule of the Mainland. The islands were treated unfairly, and banded together to defeat the Mainland, with a military force under the command of General Khareek Ikhav of Mutant-Isle. After a long war, the islands gained freedom, and later signed a peace treaty with the Mainland, connecting all the land masses under one government where they were all equal.
A few hundred years ago: Scientists began further investigating Elemental essences. They developed special orbs--the first Ultima-Orbs--and distributed them somewhat freely. This caused a great deal of chaos, and the government recalled all Ultima-Orbs and began to plan out a new government.
A century ago: Around a hundred years ago, the President came up with a new governmental system. He chose a master of each element and put them in charge of their respective islands, and then gave them the means with which to generate Ultima-Orbs. This would be the start of the current system: Children train in School for 3 years, then choose an Orb to start with and begin a quest through the nine islands to defeat the Element-Lords and gain the Ultima-Orbs.
Days of Darkness: Strangely, going over the history records, there are several years long after the new system was established where all information is absent. The scientists from the Mainland and all nine islands have no explanation, but have compiled a list of interesting notes:
Comparing the Spirit list from before to the list after the gap, the recorded number of known Bioni-Spirits is considerably lower. However, this cannot be confirmed, as individual files were not kept until after this was discovered.
Immediately after the gap are the first records of the 10th Level Bioni-Lord. Therefore, the gap is when the 10th Level Bioni-Lord rose to power.
The people who were alive during that time period have memory of certain events(school, marriges, births, Bioni-Lord quest and such), but nothing that could relate to the 10th Level Bioni-Lord.
When the people born within this gap and those whose quests were in the gap were questioned, one man said that he believes he had a companion travelling with him, but he cannot recall anything about said companion.
--It has recently been revealed that the cause of the memory loss is due to a technique called The Retcon, which was used by the 10th Level Bioni-Lord. Now that Norscu has undone the technique, these memories will eventually all come back.
--This time period will be chronicled in Book 3.
Book 1: Recently, the Shade-Gang formed, as well as the Light Force. Bioni-Lords have continued to quest, and Element-Lords have continued to fight them and choose their successors. There have been several advances in technology. Among the new Bioni-Lords are Khadaz and friends, and the events around this point are chronicled in the first Bioni-Lords book.
Book 2: Khadaz's son, Kharuun, has set out on his own journey, while the characters from Book 1 go on a new mission. Ultima Orbs have been replace with Elemental Medallions, and watch-like Bioni-Vices have become standard issue. Les Onze/Douze Ombres recently revealed themselves, and the Dark Knights are continuing to work towards their goal while dealing with the interference of their new visitors.
